This case is another sub standard insurer and its partner insurance company.  

Retail Value on the Date of Loss: $9,275.

Cost of Repair:  $4,817.

The insurance company mandated Used Inner Structure and Used Air Bags  in the repair.

Headlamps not aligned, Driver's side down vs. Passenger's side up.

Shims used to raise left fender...

Damaged front bumper reinforcement.  This is located behind rubber bumper cover and is the only barrier to impacting the air conditioning condenser and radiator.  The plastic reinforcement is nearly cracked all the way through.

Left fender mounting bolt hole that has been elongated to facilitate alignment of sheet metal.  Corrosion is evident from lack of corrosion protection.

Imitation core support.  Structural component that was improperly welded, no corrosion protection added, part label not removed and never painted.  Frame Damage

Poorly welded core support to left upper frame rail.  Frame Damage

Left upper rail, heavily damaged with buckles clearly evident.  Frame Damage

Left inner, upper frame rail, damaged, holes from attempting to straighten and no corrosion coating.  Frame Damage

From underneath, left lower frame rail, buckles corrosion  Frame Damage

Overall nasty repair.  Poor quality paint, peeling, visible imperfections and no refinish to underside of parts.  Frame Damage damaged parts not replaced, very poor welding and no corrosion resistant primers.  Shims and extra holes drilled attempting sheet metal alignment.  Used air bags installed.

The consumer received a settlement from the insurance company in this case.

The vehicle fell into the custody of Consumers' Auto Detective.  The radiator core support with the damaged tips of the upper frame rails were cut out before sending to the junk yard.
